Best Management Practices for Pesticide and Fertilizer Storage and Handling, Free

by Reagan M. Waskom & Mitchell D. Yergert, XCM-178, 1994, 8 ½ by 11, 15 pages
Storage and handling of pesticides and fertilizers in their concentrated forms pose the highest potential risk to ground or surface water from agricultural chemicals. For this reason, it is essential that facilities for the storage and handling of these products be properly sited, designed, constructed, and operated. This publication will inform operators who handle amounts of pesticides and fertilizers which fall below the thresholds for mandatory containment how best to observe Best Management Practices (BMPs) for handling these concentrated products.
